Today we have another inspiring bridal look from Lindsey at Blush Spa! See what Lindsey has to say about the natural look she gave to our gorgeous model Rachel!
With Rachel I wanted to start with a very pretty, beautiful, and feminine makeup look. This look is by far the one that most brides decide to go with on their big day. We used tones of smokey plum and chocolate eyeshadows and went for a neutral pink lip color. Rachel has beautiful hazel eyes and it was fun to watch her eye color change throughout the day when we applied different colors on her. Using shades of deep purple is a universal way to make ANY eye color pop and should be used on nearly every bride in my opinion.

Lip color is one of the biggest issues for brides to tackle in picking ”the perfect shade for your big day.” For most women, it’s best to go with a shade that’s equal parts pink and brown so that it doesn’t turn out too Mattel Barbie or too Jennie Garth a la 90210 days. ALWAYS search for a good color and take pictures of yourself wearing it before the big day. Lip color can make all the difference in the world, and don’t cross out using more than one product. Sticks give great color while glosses add beautiful dimension. Another topic to tackle is texture…matte, gloss, satin, tint? Brides always have personal preferences but it’s best to pick something that ultimately gives you the best shade. And don’t worry about stamping your handsome groom with what you have on your lips, that’s why God made Kleenexes!
