I am absolutely IN LOVE with this next bridal look!! So dreamy and whimsical… something straight out of a fairytale! Let’s see what Lindsey has to say about how she accomplished this gorgeous look!

As time evolves I definitely think brides are getting braver and more creative with their wedding planning process and that includes picking a makeup look for the big day. I wanted to do a dark smokey eye on Rachel because she has such big beautiful eyes and it’s such a fun look to create and play with. I would not however, recommend a bride who has smaller, close-set eyes to do a super dark eye look. It will make them look even smaller and raccoon-like. Instead opt for light reflecting eyeshadow colors with false, long eyelashes on the outsides of your lids. A cateye will also be your best friend in that case as well!

With the darker eye makeup we first did a nude lip. However the artist in me loves pairing it with EVERYTHING under the sun…baby pink lips, magenta lips, deep red wine lips, plum lips. Can you see why I love makeup? The endless options are fun but make sure you end up picking something you feel is timeless and complimenting. Another suggestion is to change up your lip shade throughout your big day. If brides do it with dresses, why can’t they do it with makeup?!

Towards the end of Rachel’s shots we added a deep wine lip color and threw on some netting with a fab Stella & Dot brooch. I love love love this look. I can’t say it will be popular in 30 years but I will say makeup and fashion allows you to push the envelope. I ended up calling this the “Boho Bridal Look” and Rachel plays into it so well. This look is for a more daring bride and for someone who doesn’t want to look like everyone else!
