If you have not yet discovered this gem, then let me tell you… we are SO excited to introduce you to The Bauer! It’s a new wedding and reception venue in the Kansas City Crossroads Arts District, and it is ah-mazing! When I first stumbled upon it online from a link that a bride had sent to me, I was immediately captivated by it’s charm and character. I just love all of the exposed brick, the wooden floors, and the huge windows overlooking the city! Oh, and the Italian-glass string bulbs draped across the ceiling pretty much tops it all off!

My absolute favorite piece of The Bauer is their bride and groom suites! Sometimes your “getting ready” space can be an after thought, but you do end up spending a good part of your wedding day in there as you are getting ready for the day to begin and as you are tucked back away before the ceremony as your guests are arriving. The bride’s room at The Bauer is adorable! Plenty of stylish and comfy seating and a large beauty mirror and counter.

It’s usually a given that the girls will spend way more time in their getting ready room than the guys will, but with a groom’s room like this one, I think the tables could turn. This is the perfect lounge for a groom and his guys to relax while the girls do all that hard work on hair and makeup!
