How many people does the space accommodate?
The number of people that our spaces accommodate really just depends on the room that each client chooses as well as other items that we need to make space for (example:  buffet, band, etc.).  For a plated dinner in our Crystal Ballroom we generally like to keep the number of guests around 120 (12 rounds of 10 guests).  This number does go down if a buffet is needed in the room.
One great thing about the Crystal Ballroom is that we have the ability/option to utilize the lobby for additional seating by opening the French doors that line the north wall of the ballroom which really makes the spaces flow together nicely.  Using the lobby gives us the ability to seat an additional 50 – 70 guests.

Do you cater or do you allow other caterers in?

We do not allow outside catering with the exception of wedding cakes.

Liquor: can people bring in their own?

No alcoholic beverages except for bottled wine or champagne can be brought in by clients.  We apply a $15 corking fee per bottle of wine or champagne opened and will honor this rate up to a 1.5L bottle of wine or champagne.

Do you provide tables and chairs?

Yes we do provide tables and chairs.

Linens?  Decor?  (are they provided or offered)

There is a flat $50 linen fee for using our standard linens (tablecloths, cloth napkins, etc.).  We don’t really have much in terms of décor in house as most of our weddings have florists who do centerpieces, etc.

How late do you allow wedding receptions to stay?

The space rental is a 4 hour reception block of time.

Can it be set up the day before?

Unfortunately we are not able to guarantee access to the space the day before.  This is dependent on our event schedule and other previously booked events, as well as the schedule of our setup crew.

What makes this space unique?

I think that the history of Lawrence and the building itself truly make this space unique.  The Eldridge is the only Lawrence business that still sits in the same location that it did during the Civil War.  The Eldridge was attacked and destroyed twice during confederate attacks but was rebuilt and has been restored to its original 1925 grandeur.
