Alex & Cole: Engaged!

Ahh… a trip back to my alma mater, and to one of my favorite places… Manhattan, Kansas! The Little Apple was my (Beth) home away from home for five years as I studied at Manhattan Christian College and Kansas State University. I got married just out of college and my husband and I stayed in Manhattan over that next year as he finished up his degree. I absolutely love this town. It’s the first place I’ve ever lived away from home, where I formed some amazing friendships, where I met my husband, and, you probably guessed it… where I took my first official photography class. I grew up doing photography in 4-H and it was one of my hobbies throughout high school. But Manhattan… this is where I decided to branch out and pursue professional photography. So you can only imagine my excitement when we planned Alex and Cole’s engagement session! I was beyond thrilled that I’d get to revisit some of the same spots on campus at K-State where I shot my very first engagement sessions for my friends in college!

To make my trip down memory lane even better, I feel so blessed to have gotten to spend some quality time with Alex and Cole! They have a happiness that radiates from their smiles, and I could tell right from the start that they have the most genuine hearts. Working with amazing couples like this is one of the many reasons I love my job! Their kindness, positivity and love will take them far both in life and in their marriage. To be able to capture their love in these engagement photos is an absolute joy for me. And to know that we get to share in their wedding day is an honor. I can’t wait for August to get here so we can capture gorgeous images of a beautiful love! Oh, and I’ll be introducing Melissa to a few of my Manhattan faves, including Rock-A-Belly Deli and Varsity Donuts. Sorry Melissa, you may have to fit in an extra workout that week!
