Kerry Ann & Dan: Married!

Our Lady of Sorrows and 28 Event Space

Kansas City, Missouri

It is such a blessing to be able to say that we love our job and we love the couples we work with! Kerry Ann & Dan were so much fun to photograph at their engagement session, and we knew we’d have a blast on their wedding day with them and their wedding party! The day started at 28 Event Space where the ladies did all of their wedding day prep. 28 Event Space has a great loft area with a spacious bride’s room.

Once the girls got Kerry Ann in her dress, we set up a First Look just around the corner for Dan to see his beautiful bride for the first time. Finding a secluded area for the First Look makes all the difference in giving the bride and groom a truly special moment together!

One of the things we wanted to be sure and capture in Kerry Ann & Dan’s wedding portraits was the city! We knew they would be moving to Nashville right after the wedding, so we wanted to incorporate Kansas City as much as possible. We started out at Union Station and finished in the Crossroads area. Our favorite stop was in between, when we saw the perfect KC skyline as we were driving over a bridge. It was perfect for their Kansas City wedding!

Kerry Ann and Dan made it official at the gorgeous downtown cathedral Our Lady of Sorrows. LOVE the moments captured just before the ceremony of Kerry Ann and her mom as they waited for their turn to walk down the aisle!

How special is this idea?! They had a special memorial for Dan’s mom set up next to the altar so that she could be a part of the ceremony with them. What a great way to honor and remember a lost loved one!

Oh, this day just keeps getting better! Kerry Ann surprised Dan with a bagpipe player (yes, bagpipe player, not accordion player… a little inside joke for you Kerry Ann!) that entered the church just as the priest announced the new couple and they had their first kiss!! Then, to make sure they could remember all of their family and friends who traveled so far to be part of their special day, we asked all of the guests to gather on the front steps of the church for a portrait of the entire wedding!Love all of the gorgeous flower arrangements and centerpieces done by Final Touch Studios.

And how about this amazing cake from Cake Studio 209?! Christine always does the best job! And it’s delicious too… yep, we had some!

Gotta love a first dance that ends in a dip!

To finish off the night we stole the bride and groom away from the party for a few minutes to grab their last shot of the night with the Roasterie plane all lit up!

Congrats again Kerry Ann & Dan! Thanks for asking us to be a part of your big day! We wish you the best in your new adventures in Nashville! And next time you have a run-in with Keith Urban… or any country music star for that matter… send us some pics!!
