{Wedding Week: Day 5}

The Ceremony & Reception

 If you’ve been following our Wedding Week posts this week, you’ve noticed that Amanda and Chris had a beautiful wedding day. Their evening ceremony at Redemptorist Church was just as beautiful as the weather that day!

 

Sweet father-daughter time before walking down the aisle…

 

Even if the bride and groom see each other before the ceremony and spend the day together taking photos, there’s still something special about the watching the groom as he sees his bride enter the ceremony!

 

That is one proud dad there!

 

Sometimes I wish we had audio to go along with the photos so we could remember what words sparked different facial expressions or emotions. So fun to see the way these two look at each other!

 

It’s official!!

 

The wind was still blowing like crazy after the ceremony, and it was a perfect way to show off Amanda’s gorgeous veil!

 

Time to party!! After the ceremony, the wedding party made their way over to the Boulevard Brewery on a double-decker bus!!

 

Love this idea of welcoming your guests with a chalkboard drink menu!

 

A glimpse of the different Boulevard beers available at the reception. The brewery is such a fun venue to visit, but if you want to check it out and don’t want to wait on someone to have their wedding reception there, you can stop by for a free tour!

Not only did Amanda and Chris choose a local brewery, they also chose a local caterer for the food! OH MY! Have you ever been to Blanc Burgers + Bottles?!! If not, you must try it! The best local burger you will ever eat and a great environment! I actually had no idea they catered events until this, and now I will be recommending them to all of our couples! Their food of course did not disappoint. Melissa and I snuck into the kitchen to catch the Blanc guys in action… and to steal a bite to eat! 😉

What a perfect idea for favors from a Boulevard wedding- custom beer glasses!

 

And one last shot on the balcony that overlooks downtown Kansas City! Congrats Amanda and Chris!! We absolutely loved being a part of your big day!!
