I’ve said it before, one of the best parts of our job is hearing about everyone’s story… how did you meet, how did you propose… we want to know! I just love Priya and Ryan’s engagement story, so I must share!  On Priya’s birthday this summer, Ryan surprised Priya by calling their dog Brooklyn up to snuggle in bed with them (a usual Saturday morning for them). When Brooklyn jumped into bed with them, Priya noticed there was a little box tied to her collar with a pink ribbon… and the rest is history… Wait! It gets even sweeter. Ryan’s birthday is the day after Priya’s, and little did he know while planning this birthday surprise for Priya, that she was up to something also. She had planned a surprise party for him that very evening! The best part about this is that Priya and Ryan never surprise each other, and somehow managed to pull off quite a surprising day for each other!

Now, going into this engagement session, I knew these two were going to be so much fun! Priya told us that she and Ryan don’t refer to each other as “fiancé” but instead have taken to calling each other their “beyonce” (betrothed + fiancé). We knew they’d be the perfect couple for a fun session Melissa and I had been brainstorming, so we started the evening out with a little outdoor movie set-up! Yes, we ate plenty of the candy you see in the photos below!

 

 

We had the perfect place to set up our outdoor movie date night for Priya and Ryan… Blue Jacket Crossing Vineyard & Winery! When we were done with our movie shoot (and snacking on candy) we wandered through the vines, opened a bottle of wine and took some gorgeous shots as the sun set behind us. And I do mean GORGEOUS shots… seriously, look at how insanely beautiful this couple is!
