A Perfect Wedding Day at The Midland Theatre | Sarah & Christian’s Kansas City Wedding

There are some weddings that feel extra special—not just because of the love shared between the couple, but because of the deep connections we’ve made with the families along the way. Sarah and Christian’s wedding was one of those unforgettable days.

Nearly a decade ago, we had the honor of photographing Allie’s wedding—Sarah’s sister—and stepping back into this family’s story after all these years was truly meaningful. Getting to witness and document another chapter for such a warm, kind, and joy-filled family reminded us why we do what we do. It felt like reuniting with old friends, and we were so excited to capture the day for Sarah and Christian.

They exchanged vows in their home church and followed it up with a gorgeous celebration at The Midland Theatre in downtown Kansas City. From start to finish, the day felt like absolute perfection. The venue’s grandeur paired beautifully with Sarah and Christian’s elegant style. Every moment, from the walk down the aisle to the last dance, was filled with laughter, emotion, and genuine connection.

Surrounded by an incredible group of friends and family, the love and support for Sarah and Christian was undeniably beautiful. One of the highlights of the night was the live band Lost Wax, who kept the energy high and the dance floor full. As a special twist—because both Sarah and Christian are singers—Lost Wax invited them up on stage to perform a song together. It was such a personal and unforgettable moment that had the whole theatre cheering.

Sarah and Christian, thank you for letting us be part of this beautiful chapter. And to the whole family—thank you for welcoming us back with open arms. Here’s to love, music, and the kind of weddings that make us feel lucky to do what we do.
