Katie + Lucas | Kansas City Engagement Session

From the moment I met Katie and Lucas, I knew working with them was going to be a blast! These two are so easygoing, fun-loving, and just genuinely the kind of people you want to hang out with. Their laughter is infectious, and being around them feels like catching up with old friends — the kind you instantly click with.

Katie and Lucas actually met while recruiting for their company at a career fair at K-State. Their relationship is been filled with joy, good vibes, and lots of laughs — and all of that came through so naturally in their photos. Nothing about it felt forced or posed. They’re just so comfortable with each other, and it made photographing them feel effortless in the best way.

We kept the session super true to them, which I absolutely loved. It doesn’t get much better than drinks at a favorite bar and a little stop at Town Topic for some fries — a spot they frequent often. It felt less like a photoshoot and more like an evening out with friends who let me bring my camera along for the ride. Spending this time with them has me even more excited for their wedding day. I’m so honored I get to be a part of telling their story — and if their engagement session is any indication, their wedding day is going to be one for the books.
