Laura & Tylan: Engaged!

Wedding photography is an occupation that comes with so much joy. We are working with people in the happiest of circumstances- family and friends coming together, celebrating love, showing support to a couple as they begin a new chapter of their lives together. Really, if you could peek at me from behind my camera while I’m shooting, or even while I’m sitting at my computer working on images or an album design after an engagement session or wedding day, you’d probably catch me smiling, laughing, and, yes… crying. All of this from the joy of witnessing two people so in love. Now, if you can imagine all of this emotion I feel after we’ve worked with a couple for just a few hours on their initial meeting and engagement session, can you imagine how much more my heart swells with this joy as I’m working on photos for a very dear, lifelong friend?! That’s some serious emotion right there.

Well, that’s exactly how I felt working on Laura & Tylan’s engagement photos. I am blessed to call this beautiful bride-to-be one of my very best lifelong friends! We grew up as part of each others’ families, staying up all night at countless slumber parties, talking on the phone for hours, experiencing college together, and now this. I am honored and humbled to get to help capture some of the most important moments of her life, starting with this engagement session!

That joy I was rambling on about earlier? These two exude joy and it’s hard NOT to smile when looking at their photos! The way they look at each other and laugh together brings a smile to my face! Laura has found a truly wonderful man who I know is going to make an amazing husband for her. And Tylan… what a lucky guy he is to have a girl as caring and loving as Laura. Congrats again on your engagement you two lovebirds! Melissa and I could not be more excited for the big day!! Less than three months to go!
