Lexi and Jake’s elegant Kansas City wedding at the historic Hilton President Hotel was the perfect blend of classic style, heartfelt moments, and timeless design. After documenting their entire story — from Jake’s surprise proposal to their engagement session, rehearsal dinner, and wedding day — this celebration felt extra special to be a part of.

My time with Lexi and Jake began when Jake reached out about capturing his proposal and surprise engagement party with all of their closest family and friends. From that night on, surrounded by happy tears, champagne, and the warmest group of people, I knew their Kansas City wedding day was going to be something truly special. Turns out, it was even better than I imagined. Lexi and Jake are the kind of couple who radiate joy, kindness, and energy. Photographing their journey has been one of the biggest highlights of my work as a Kansas City wedding photographer. They live and love with their whole hearts, and it shows in every moment they share.

Their wedding weekend kicked off with a gorgeous rooftop rehearsal dinner at Three Points in downtown Kansas City, a venue with incredible skyline views overlooking the Hilton President Hotel. Lexi stunned in a dress made from her mom’s original wedding gown — reimagined with delicate lace and a perfectly timeless silhouette. It fit her like it was designed just for her and added the sweetest sentimental touch to the weekend.

Kansas City gave them its very best fall weather on their November wedding day — warm, golden, and ideal for photos. Their ceremony was classic and sweet, surrounded by people who adore them. One of my favorite parts of the day? Their adorable dog Winston arriving after the ceremony to join us for portraits. He also made an appearance on their custom bar napkins at the reception, which guests couldn’t stop talking about. More weddings need dogs, honestly.

Their reception in the Congress Ballroom at the Hilton President Hotel was pure luxury wedding magic — soft textures, candlelit tables, elegant linens, and a cake with lace detailing so intricate it deserved its own feature moment. The entire design was executed flawlessly by Lisa with Hitched in KC, who brought their classic, elegant, and timeless vision to life with such talent and intention.

And then came the party. Twice on Sunday, one of the most loved Kansas City wedding bands, had the dance floor packed all night long. The energy was unmatched. From beginning to end, this Hilton President Kansas City wedding was everything a luxury celebration should be — meaningful, beautifully designed, joy-driven, and full of heart. It was truly the best day with the best people.
