We have two ballrooms at The Oread, as well as several smaller spaces for more intimate events.  Much like the Eldridge, the number of people that our spaces accommodate really just depends on the room that each client chooses as well as other items that we need to make space for (example:  buffet, band, etc.). For a plated dinner in our Hancock Ballroom, we can seat close to 240 guests.  This number does go down if space for a band, dance floor, or buffet is needed in the room. The Hancock Ballroom is adjacent to our All Season’s Den which can be used for additional seating or as space for the buffet to be set up in order to accommodate more guests in the ballroom. Our Griffith Ballroom can seat approximately 270 guests, however again this number does go down depending on what else is needed in the room. Do you cater or do you allow other caterers in? We do not allow outside catering with the exception of wedding cakes. Liquor: can people bring in their own? No alcoholic beverages except for bottled wine or champagne can be brought in by clients.  We apply a $15 corking fee per bottle of wine or champagne opened and will honor this rate up to a 1.5L bottle of wine or champagne.
