M&B ~ Meet The Vendors ~ Sporting KC {Kansas City Wedding Photographer}
Sporting KC
Some sports fans dream of getting married on the field in their favorite venue, and here, that’s actually an option. We can also offer things such as taking photos on the team benches or using our video boards to display the couple’s logo. We can truly offer a sports fan their dream wedding. At the same time, we have spaces that non-sports fans would appreciate just as much.
How many people?
LIVESTRONG Sporting Park has six different interior spaces – the Field Club, Victory Suite, Shield Club, Executive Suite Lounge, Signature Suite Lounge and Members’ Club – as well as two exterior spaces – the Sprint Plaza and the pitch – in which we can host events. We can hold anywhere from 60-600 people, just depending on the space.
Caterers?
We have an exclusive caterer, Kansas City American Sport service, who handles all of our catering requests.
Liquor?
No, liquor is handled through our caterer.
Tables and Chairs?
Our guests are welcome to use any of the tables, chairs or other furniture that we have in house; we also work with a rental company if we need to order anything else.
Linens? Decor?
We can offer the linens and additional décor through the rental company we use. The good thing about many of our spaces is that they don’t need much as far as additional decorating.
How late can we stay?
We don’t have any time limits on the spaces.
Can it be set up the day before?
It just depends on what the space is being used for the day before. Usually we set an event the day of, but if there are elements that need to be placed ahead of time, we’re happy to work with the client.
What is the most unique wedding you have seen in your space?
We actually hosted our first weekend just this month (march). It was a great event because they used the Executive Lounge for both the ceremony and the reception, and they and their guests went into the Victory Suite for a cocktail hour in between while we swapped the room.
What makes this space unique?
The fact that we are a soccer stadium makes us a very unique space, but weddings here aren’t only for soccer fans. We offer so many spaces depending on the size, ambiance, etc. that someone may be looking for, and we really feel that we have something for everyone.
What advice do you have for a bride when looking to book a space?
Come in with an open mind so you can visualize how your wedding would fit into a particular space.
What is your best wedding day/ wedding planning/ wedding booking tip?
Put someone (whether your wedding planner, personal attendant or maid of honor) in charge of bringing an emergency kit – you never know when you’ll need sharpies/pens (guest book), sewing kit, flip flops, tape, etc., and it’s always better to be over prepared.

What an amazing venue for a wedding! How far in advance would we need to reserve the space?
