Before I start gushing over this dreamy country wedding day, you should know that this is going to be a very long blog post! So, if that little wheel is still spinning as your web browser is loading ALL of these amazing images… trust me, it’s worth the wait! The details, the emotions, the love… this was truly a fairytale wedding!

In case you missed their engagement session and this is your first time meeting Shelby and Jason, you should know they are two sweet, down-to-earth, kind-hearted, country souls! Now, if you know us, we are both small town country girls at heart, so we couldn’t be more excited to be shooting this amazing barn wedding! (We even strayed from our usual wedding photographers’ attire into our country dresses and boots for the day!) Shelby and Jason met in Aggieville (for all you non-KStater’s Aggieville is the heart of downtown Manhattan, Kansas!) one Monday night while they were out singing karaoke with friends. Jason’s table joined Shelby’s table of friends, and with a little convincing, Jason got Shelby to get up and sing John Deere Green with him! If you aren’t a country music fan, take a minute to google this song and listen to it! It’s a sweet old-school country love song that makes Shelby and Jason’s story even better!

Now, let’s get to the good stuff! Can we start by talking about how amazing this Allure Couture dress is from Bridal Extraordinaire?!
This sweet girl is the bride’s dog, Aggie! She hung out in the bridal suite with us while Shelby and the girls got ready. She is the best dog!!Miss Lindsey from Blush Spa was there working her make-up magic on all the gorgeous girls! Shelby had a piece of her grandmother’s blue hanky sewn into the lining of her dress… love this little touch!!
This might be one of my personal favorite wedding photos of all time! A bride and her dog.Melissa put her crafty skills to work and set up these old doors out in the field behind the barn to use for the bride and groom’s first look! Check out the look on Jason’s face as he comes around the side of the doors and sees Shelby for the first time! Priceless!
After an amazing first look with Jason, Shelby took a few minutes to do a first look with her dad. This is right up there at the top of our list of favorite bride and father moments!! These bridesmaids dresses from Anthropologie were the absolute perfect touch! This outdoor ceremony set-up was breath-taking! A few seats in front row were reserved in honor of lost family members. What a loving way to remember cherished loved ones.As guests entered the barn for the reception, there were lots of “ooh’s” and “ahh’s” over the incredible details and ambiance. The groom’s mom and sister did all of the flowers, which could not have been any more beautiful! The bride’s mom repurposed an old chandelier that was hung from the rafters over the center of the dance floor.
LOVE, LOVE this last shot of the night of a sweet moment with the bride and groom dancing to the live country band above them in barn loft.
Congratulations again, Shelby and Jason!! We will always remember your wedding day, and how much fun we had with you, your friends, and your family! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your special day!!
