{Wedding Week Day 1: Getting Ready}

I’d say it’s a safe assumption to make that most brides and grooms don’t get much sleep the night before their big day! Wedding thoughts, plans, anticipation, excitement… it’s consumed you for months and now your day has finally arrived! Who can sleep when you’re getting married the next day?! So what better way to start out the day, than with a brunch! Caffeine, food and some relaxation before the day takes off! We met Joanna and the girls at the Mirth Cafe in downtown Lawrence to catch a glimpse of their morning brunch, and then headed down Mass Street to the Greenroom Salon!

If you haven’t heard of it, the Greenroom Salon is a pretty cool place! Great stylists and a super fun, modern atmosphere!

The small dove that Joanna wore in her hair was from her grandmother. Her grandmother wore a pair of doves on her own wedding day, and then passed down one dove to Joanna’s mom that she used on her wedding day and then this one to Joanna.  Such a cool way to honor her grandmother and to tie all of their weddings together!

What good is a country wedding without some adorable boots to wear with your dress?! LOVE Joanna’s style!!
